Weekly Annoucements

Coffee & Donuts. All are invited to the
Parish Hall after the 7:30 a.m. and 10:00 a.m. Masses for coffee and donuts.

Parish Registration. If you attend Mass regularly
at St. Anne's please register as a parishioner. The Registration
Form may be obtained online, or at the Parish Office.

Parking Reminder. Please respect our neighbors
and do not block the entrances to their driveways.

Votive Candles. We now have two votive candle
racks located next to Our Lady of Guadalupe. The large 7-day candles
are $4.00 and the small candles are $0.50. Please deposit your candle
donation in the collection box located alongside Our Lady of Guadalupe's
statue.

Monthly Rosary Procession. A monthly Rosary
Procession takes place at The Immaculata on the first Sunday of the month
from 2:30 p.m. to 4:00 p.m. For more information, contact Richard
Boothby at (619) 476-8014.

Sunday Vespers. Every Sunday at 5:30 p.m.
Frs. Gismondi and Gordon will chant Vespers Ewcto Tono. Hand-out
sheets will be available for Vespers at the entrance of the church.
All are welcome to join.

First Saturday
Devotions. The First Saturday Devotion to
the Immaculate Heart of Mary will take place on Saturday, September 4,
following the 9:00 a.m. Mass. The Rosary will be recited and there
will a short meditation on the fifteen traditional mysteries of the Rosary.

Sunday High Mass.
The Sunday High (Sung) Mass will resume next Sunday, September 8, at 10:00
a.m.

Parish Choir.
The parsih choir is in need of a few more voices for both the Liturgical
Choir, which sings the 10:00 a.m. High Mass, and espectially the Hymn Choir,
which sings for the Noon Mass. If you are interested in singing,
please see our Music Director, Mary Ann Car Wilson, or call the parish
office to leave a message.

Children's Choir.
Parents interested in having their children (with unchanged voices, ages
9 to 17 years) trained in sacred music including Gregorian Chant, please
contact our Music Director, Mary Ann Carr Wilson. The Choiristers
will begin rehearsla on September 8 from 3:45 p.m. to 5:45 p.m. in
the Choir Room.

Rectory Now A Canonical House. The parish rectory
has been elevated to a Canonical House of the FSSP and has been named the
St. Joachim House. A canonical house is an official residence for
priests of a religious orders in a diocese. When Father Berg, the
FSSP Superior General visited Bishop Brom last Spring the possibility of
establishing a canonical house was discussed and Bishop Brom gave his approval.
With this step, Bishop Brom has given the FSSP a permanent home in the
Diocese of San Diego.

Children's Fall Catechism Classes. Classes will
begin the first week of October. Registaration will begin the end
of this month. Children must be at least 5 years old and a member
of St. Anne's parish.

Catechism Teacher Volunteers. Volunteers are
needed to teach the children's catechism classes. Classes start in
October. If you would like to help teach the catechism classes, please
put your name on the sign-up sheet located at the back of the church.

Irene On Maternity Leave. The Pastor's Secretary,Irene,
is on maternity leave until mid-October. She is due on August 23.
In her absence volunteers will be in the office answering the phone and
the door. Unfortunately, the office will be open only from 9:00 a.m.
to 1:00 p.m. Mass intentions must be arranged though Fr. Gordon.
Please contact only Fr. Gordon concerning Mass intentions and stipends.

2011 Mass Intentions Book. The 2011 Mass intentions
book is oipen. Visit the parish office to schedule your Masses or
place an envelope with the stipend in the collection box located next to
Our Lady of Guadalupe shrine. Please limit your request to 20 intentions
until furthher notice. The stipend is $10.00 per Mass. Please
make checks payable to St. Anne Church.

Legion of Mary. A chapter (called a praesidium)
is being formed at St. Anne's. The first meeting will take place
on Wednesday, September 8, at 7:00 p.m.. Each praesidium has four
officers: a president, vice-president, secretary and treasurer. A
vice-president has been slected. If you are interested in one of
the other officer positions, please inform one of the priests. The
praesidium meets weekly for an hour and a half meeting to prepare
for weekly apostoliuc work. The Legion of Mary is probably the most
effective and proven Catholic lay apostolate to bring others to the true
faith. For those who cannot do the active apostolic work, there is also
an Auxiliry, whose members pray for the active work of the Legion.
Please consider being a part of this necessary work to bring souls home
to the Catholic Church.

Jacob McDowell.
Jacob McDowell is attending St. Michael's Preparatory Chool at St. Michael's
Abbey in Orange County. The school is operated by the Norbertine
priests of St. Michael's Abbey. He has received a tuition grant of
$10,000 and $750 in gifts. He still needs to raise $7,750.

Training Classes for New Altar Boys. Chris Gomez
will conduct a series of training classes for boys intersted in becoming
Altar Servers. The class will begin prompty at 8:45 a.m. and end
at 9:30 a.m. and will take place in the Mass Server's Sacristy. The
classes will continue each Sunday up to the first week of Catechism classes
this Fall. Any boys who want to participate must commit to coming
to this class every Sunday, or informing chris at least a week in advance
if unable to to attend a class.
